The ecosystem of the site, which is found in a depression in comparison with the surrounding terrain, leading to great humidity and an abundance of plant life, means special care is required with its maintenance and protection.
The Castillo de Castellet is located in the municipality of Castellet i La Gornal.
Listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest, the castle is to be restored, and will be used for educational purposes related to the study of the environment.
