Moreover, if you need a receipt for your motorway journeys it can be sent straight to your e-mail address by the e-receipt service.

What's Vía T is

VíaT is a teletoll system used on motorways to pay for your journey without any need to stop your vehicle. Thanks to a device fitted in the car and an electronic reader located in toll stations, the security barrier is lifted automatically.

You can also use VíaT in SABA car parks.

When the vehicle equipped with its Vía T goes along the lane, an aerial detects its movement, the device beeps and the barrier is raised so that the vehicle can continue.

On motorways that accept the use of Vía T as a method of payment, the lanes equipped with this system are indicated using the following sign:

The maximum speed permitted to pass through the automatic toll barrier is 30 km/h. At a faster speed, there is the risk that the barrier won't lift up in time.

You don't need to search around for cash or credit cards, lower the window or take any kind of ticket. You just have to slow up to the speed limit permitted for automatic tolls.

Inter-operable
The system is valid for the whole of Spain's motorway network and, in general, can be used by any vehicle.

You can use those lanes reserved for your Vía T with the maximum of advantages.

In cars or light vehicles, Vía T must be placed at the centre and top of the inside of the windscreen around 5 cm from the top frame, behind the rear-view mirror.

You should previously clean the surface of the place chosen on the windscreen to ensure the holder adheres correctly. The holder should be left permanently installed on the vehicle's windscreen.

In the case of trucks or heavy vehicles, Vía T must be placed at the centre and bottom of the inside of the windscreen in a vertical position.

With Vía T you can pass through most tolls indicated with the "T" symbol but there are also exclusive Vía T lanes to make your journeys much easier.

SABA car parks

Now you can also use your Vía T to pay at SABA car parks. When you enter the car park, take a ticket and park your vehicle. When you return to the car park to pick up your vehicle, you don't need to use the pay machine. Take your vehicle and go to the exit indicated with the VIA T symbol. When you put your ticket in the reader, the control system will do the rest: it will recognise your Vía T and the exit barrier will be raised automatically.
